4TH Biennial Conference on Universities Research and Innovation

The Commission for University Education hosted the 4th Biennial Conference on Universities, Research and Innovation at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre from June 12th to 14th, 2024. Cabinet Secretary Hon Ezekiel Machogu officiated at the opening ceremony and toured the exhibition showcasing the latest innovations from Kenyan universities. Riara University was among the institutions invited to exhibit their groundbreaking innovation.

On the second day, Professor Robert Gateru, Vice Chancellor of Riara University, chaired a session titled “Preparing Graduates for the Workforce of Tomorrow.” This discussion focused on equipping graduates with the skills and knowledge necessary to succeed in the ever-changing job market. The conference brought together academics, researchers, and industry leaders to explore how universities can bridge the gap between education and employment.

The three-day event culminated on the 14th with closing remarks delivered by Permanent Secretary Dr. Beatrice Inyangala. The conference proved to be a valuable platform for universities to share their research and development efforts, promoting collaboration and driving positive change in Kenya
