The Team
Wentland Muhatiah is a policy researcher with a background in climate change adaptation. He is passionate about exploring the intersection of technological innovation and entrepreneurship in addressing the challenges of climate change. Wentland works at the African Technology Policy Studies (ATPS), a regional network of researchers and policymakers working to promote the use of science, technology, and innovation in addressing development challenges in Africa. With his expertise in climate change adaptation and keen interest in entrepreneurship, Wentland is committed to finding innovative solutions to the complex challenges facing Africa’s sustainable development.
Nicholas Mwaura Kinyanjui is the Dean of Students and Director Quality Assurance at Riara University. Nicholas has a proven track record in Education for Sustainable Development research and training; Graduate Employability research and training and is the immediate global winner of the most innovative idea in enhancing graduate employability competition by the African Centre for Career Enhancement and Skills Support (ACCESS-Leipzig University Germany); solid practitioner in educational leadership, teaching, alumni relations, quality assurance, and resource mobilization spanning for over 15 years in learning institutions. He has trained widely and presented on ESD, graduate employability, institutional advancement, alumni relations, research, and resource mobilization. Mr. Kinyanjui is a doctoral candidate at the University of Vechta, Germany, holds a Master of Education Administration and Planning and a Bachelor of Education in English and Literature in English from the Catholic University of Eastern Africa (CUEA).
David Kirop is a faculty member in Riara University’s School of Computing Sciences and Accelerator Manager of the AESU partnership. David is passionate about innovations, entrepreneurship and mentorship (coaching and facilitation). He has actively coordinated innovation activities and has provided platform for growth. Based on his training in Telecommunication Engineering and Computer Systems, he previously worked with a number of Engineering and Information Communication Technology firms in providing hardware and software automation solutions. He has over 7 years in providing learner-centered teaching, training, and accredited testing.
Alex Metto is a IT Professional with years of experience in the ICT sector.
Roselynn Kainyu is a faculty member at Riara University, School of Business and Academic Director of the AESU partnership. She enjoys mentoring, coaching, and training students. Her teaching experience spans almost 20 years. Her areas of expertise and competence include strategic thinking, entrepreneurship, innovation, leadership behavior, marketing, procurement, and supply chain, among other management Courses. She is a member of The Academy of International Business (AIB), Women in Academy of International Business (WAIB), Ethical leadership network, and HESABIKA. She is the founding Chair of the Christian Academicians Association. A movement that brings together Christian teachers, lecturers, scientists, and dons to provide solutions to communities through a multidisciplinary lens,. Among other trainings, this movement empowers citizens to actively participate in initiatives that foster and restore integrity in governance, social justice, and job creation at the community level. Roselynn is a recipient of an Honorary Doctorate (h.c) in Public Service.
Susan’s’ teaching philosophy value is based on enhancing practical problem solving at a personal level for both the learners and herself in a bid to promote life-long learning.
With her niche being centred on pedagogy, Susan brings to life the Course Outline, Course Content and Assessments in an engaging experience for the learners. She seek to challenge the learner to ASK… “Why? What? How?” Both within the Online and physical classroom spaces. By applying Transformative learning, Susan spurs learners to apply Critical Thinking and seek opportunities to apply the gains of their learning journey. As a result promoting life long learning.
She is passionate about people. With 15 years of managerial experience within the corporate space, Susan has been connecting setting up operational systems and connecting employees to them in a way that enables organisations obtain their objectives. This has well enabled her to bring practical business management scenarios into classrooms, so as to prepare and equip learners on better ways of managing their various work spaces while leveraging on tested theoretical concepts.
