Design Thinking Methodology Public Lecture
On 10th June 2024, Riara university school of Business in partnership with School of Computing sciences had the distinct pleasure of hosting Dr. Paul Kenis, https://www.linkedin.com/in/paul-kenis, a distinguished lecturer at Odesee University of Applied Sciences, https://www.odisee.be/en Belgium and a board member of the International Consortium for Educational Development (ICED). He imparted valuable insights into the design thinking methodology, drawing upon case studies that showcased successful innovations in Tanzania https://www.c-re-aid.org/, where community-driven school construction and renovations took place, as well as in Belgium, where educational initiatives were implemented at Odesee University. Dr. Kenis meticulously led the students through the essential five phases of design thinking, empathizing, ideating, prototyping, productizing, and startup launching. He emphasized on ethical and sustainable innovation aligned with Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). They employee environment friendly materials in their construction projects.”
