ROTARACT CLUB OF RIARA UNIVERSITY (RCRU), “PUTTING A SMILE ON A CHILD’S FACE”
The visit to New Life, on Friday 23 October 2015, was the first initiative that the Rotaract Club of Riara University (RCRU) undertook, initiated by Director of Community Service Committee Ms. Maseka Kithinji under the supervision of the Patron of the club Ms Florence Shako. The visit was geared around the aspect of reaching out to the children especially babies (aged 3 months- 3 years) and putting a smile on a child’s face.
The members contributed funds towards the visit and in addition donations were received in form of shoes and clothing. With the contribution we were able to shop for milk, candy, juice, bar soaps and toiletries.
We left for New Life Home Kilimani from Riara University at 1.00 p.m. where we spent the whole afternoon playing with the babies, feeding them and also engaging with the New Life staff.
As RCRU, we believe in serving others before ourselves. Everybody deserves to be happy.
