
Riara University Showcases Global Partnerships at the Malaysia Africa Higher Education Forum 2025
Riara University participated in the Study in Malaysia Education Fair held alongside the Malaysia Africa Higher Education Forum 2025 on 24th November 2025 at the Radisson Blu Upperhill in Nairobi reaffirming the University’s commitment to internationalisation and global academic partnerships.
The RU delegation was led by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor Academic Affairs, Prof. Wanja Tenambergen, alongside the Dean School of Computing Sciences’ Prof. Felix Musau, the Head of Education, Professional Development and Training Education Consultant, Dr. Julius Otundo, Dean School of Business, Dr. Zephania Opati and Ms Phanice Ambusti (Faculty School of Business)
The high-level forum and education fair brought together universities policymakers and education sector leaders from across Africa and Asia to explore opportunities for transnational education research collaboration and student mobility. The event was officially opened by the Prime Minister of Malaysia Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim underscoring the strategic importance of higher education cooperation between Malaysia and Africa.
During the engagement the Riara University team held discussions with Malaysian higher education institutions and international partners on prospective student exchange programmes joint research initiatives faculty collaboration and capacity building opportunities. The delegation also explored scholarship pathways and articulation arrangements that will expand global exposure and learning opportunities for Riara students.
Participation in the forum forms part of Riara University’s broader strategy to strengthen its international footprint enhance the quality of academic delivery and prepare students for leadership in a globalised world.
