Riara University is set to host its annual Health Week, a comprehensive wellness initiative dedicated to promoting preventive healthcare and early detection of medical conditions. Running from March 24th to 28th, 2025, this year’s event promises a robust lineup of essential health services, expert consultations, and wellness activities to ensure the well-being of the university community.

Health Week will feature biometric screenings conducted by Winnie’s Pure Health, HIV testing and counseling provided by Coptic CCC, and blood pressure check-ups, ECGs, and OB/GYN reviews to support early diagnosis and preventive care. Nairobi West Hospital will spearhead a blood donation drive, offering attendees an opportunity to contribute to lifesaving efforts.

Vision care will also be a focal point, with Optica providing eye check-ups and optical services, ensuring students and staff receive proper vision assessments. Additionally, Dr. Shem Rakewa Dental Clinic will be on-site offering dental check-ups, reinforcing the importance of oral health as part of overall wellness.

Beyond medical screenings, Riara University Health Week fosters a culture of proactive health management, empowering participants with the knowledge and resources to make informed healthcare decisions. The event also serves as a platform for community engagement, reinforcing the university’s commitment to holistic wellness and preventive healthcare.

This initiative is co-hosted by Nairobi West Hospital, Coptic Hospital, Winnie’s Pure Health, Optica, and Dr. Shem Rakewa Dental Clinic, whose expertise and commitment to healthcare make this event possible.

Students, faculty, and staff are encouraged to take advantage of these free and accessible health services.
