School of International Relations Guest Lecture by Dr. Christian Fellner, Austrian Ambassador to Kenya and United Nations representative.

Tuesday 8th Feb 2021 was a remarkable day as we had the pleasure of hosting Amb. Dr. Christian Fellner, Austrian ambassador to Kenya and United Nations representative. The theme of the lecture was “Influence of Personalities on Diplomacy and Politics’. The main take away from the lecture was that everyone is different, and aspects like beliefs, norms, statuses and culture should be taken into consideration on matters of international relations and diplomacy.
Dr. Fellner officially launched the School of International Relations & Diplomacy wall installation of former and current heads of the United Nations (UN), East Africa Community (EAC) and The African Union (AU). The ambassador also shared his perspective and outlook on various topical issues in a video interview carried out after the main plenary session.
