Riara Law School, in collaboration with the University of Derby (UK), is pleased to host an international workshop on the theme:
“Business and Human Rights Scholarship: Developing Networks and Perspectives from the Global South.”

This workshop is part of a UK Research Initiative-funded project focused on advancing the conversation around corporate accountability and human rights, particularly from a Global South perspective.

Event Highlights:

  • Keynote Address by Prof. Patricia Kameri-Mbote during the plenary morning session
  • Panel Discussions throughout the day covering:
    • Curriculum Development and Business & Human Rights (BHR)
    • Legal Scholarship and BHR in Africa
    • Corporate Accountability and BHR in Africa

This event aims to foster critical dialogue among scholars, legal practitioners, corporate actors, students, and policymakers to integrate Business and Human Rights considerations into education, practice, and policy.
